The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) is one of seven accredited faculties on the campus of AL-Manar University of Tripoli (MUT), located five minutes away from downtown Tripoli. The FPH strives to be the leader in public health education, research and diverse-health related and professional services in Tripoli and the whole region. Such actions are accomplished through excellence in education and service to communities through collaborative partnerships. Moreover, the faculty is seeking to establish bilateral collaboration in education and research in all areas of public health with universities and research center worldwide.
At MUT faculty of public health, we value innovation, creativity, community driven needs and leadership development. The faculty is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories for basic sciences. It has also a modern library with a wide variety of audiovisual equipment, electronic resources and internet access.
The faculty offers undergraduate programs (environmental and occupational health, medical laboratory technology, nutrition and nursing). These programs combine theoretical and practical coursework, preparing graduates to assume leadership roles and improve the changing world of today such as the environment and chronic diseases. On the other hand, the faculty features small class size and supportive environment. In addition it offers a series of short courses for public health professionals and institutions in environmental and occupational health, toxicology and human health risk assessment.
