The Environmental Energy Sustainability is nowadays a topic of particular importance in Italy as well as in Lebanon. The event “Energy Management as a tool for Sustainable Development” will consider topics related to energy production and management and tools to achieve adequate levels of environmental sustainability such as, energy planning, use of renewable sources, existing technologies in the energy field.

Particularly, the experience developed by the University of Genova in the framework of the European “Covenant of Mayors” initiative for Climate and Energy, with the goal of sustainable energy rationalization and reduction of GHG emissions will be presented.

The event will help in raising both administrative and scientific community awareness in Tripoli in order to focus the attention on such a theme and promote it through the use of environmentally friendly technologies.
